BDR Group CEO Bahman Rahimi has been ranked among LDC’s top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders for 2020.
BDR has grown its turnover from £8m to £30m in three years and Rahimi has set his sights on £100m within five years.
The company counts global retailers among its customer base and during the initial stages of lockdown it secured a significant NHS IT contract, helping five hospitals in Kent.
Rahimi said: “I’m a calm man, but even I was worried about that one. We delivered the work with no problems and that was one of my proudest moments.”
During a project for the Trussel Trust he personally oversaw the distribution of 1,200 tablets to working volunteers.
A previous big step forward for Rahimi was having his children become part of the business.
“I cannot tell you how fantastic it feels to have my kids in the business," he added.
“I love coming to the office and seeing them both here every day."
John Garner of LDC said: “All of the inspiring leaders featured in our Top 50 this year have driven their business forward during a period of adversity, whether by expanding internationally, delivering real innovation, showcasing resilience or making a difference in their communities. They all deserve their place and I look forward to seeing their continued success."
