Viatel enhances network transparency using Highlight platform

Viatel Technology Group has formed a strategic partnership with Highlight to deploy the Highlight Service Observability Platform across its operations and mid-market and enterprise customer base, continuing the consolidation of its service management tooling.

As part of the initial rollout, Viatel will use Highlight to streamline monitoring for its Cisco Meraki SD-WAN and Orion Autofailover services.

The new partnership move follows an ongoing acquisition strategy over the past five years which resulted in the use of multiple systems by separate technology teams.

Once the deployment is complete, more than 100 Viatel engineers will use the Highlight platform to manage network performance more cohesively.

In addition to internal adoption, Viatel will embed Highlight within its managed service offerings, providing customers with graphical dashboards and automated reporting tools to deliver enhanced transparency and clearer insights into network health and service performance.

Damien McCann, Chief Commercial Officer at Viatel Technology Group (pictured) said: “Our partnership with Highlight is a strategic step in this journey to fulfil our mission is to deliver better customer experience through clarity and trust, giving a unified, real-time view of their SD-WAN network performance.

“By simplifying complexity and enhancing transparency, we’re improving how we manage networks and raising the bar for what our customers can expect from their managed service provider.”

Conor Healy, Customer Success Manager at Viatel added: “Highlight’s automated reporting capabilities reduce the time spent gathering and analysing data from disparate tools, leading to more frequent, focused and transparent reviews with our customers.

“Highlight provides customers with graphical tools that offer full visibility into the services they receive, building trust, strengthening relationships to ensure there are no surprises when it comes time for contract renewals.”
