Redsquid has quickly followed up its CST deal by acquiring Penstone Communications, in a move that bolsters its capability to deliver telecommunications and network services across the region and nationwide.
Supported by ThinCats, the acquisition is the fifth deal in 12 months and the second completed in a week for Redsquid.
It also sees its UC specialist team add six new members to the group, with skills from mobility to cyber security, and welcoming 100 new customers into the Redsquid Community.
This acquisition aligns with Redsquid’s continued aim to improve connectivity and communication solutions for businesses, providing reliability, efficiency, and quality service delivery.
Penstone is a long-term Gamma, further establishing the Gold Partnership Redsquid already has in place with the vendor.
Together, the group now further increases its capabilities within UC services as it gets ready for the upcoming PSTN switch off in 2027.
The Penstone integration into the Redsquid group will boost its carbon neutral and B Corp status, as well as opening up potential within IT and security services.
Penstone customers will now have access to the wider Redsquid team including the service desk and consultancy team of over 40 specialists in services from Microsoft destinations to ISO certifications.
Sohin Raithatha, CEO of Redsquid, said: “Welcoming Penstone into the Redsquid Community significantly enhances our expertise and capabilities in telecom and network infrastructure.
“Penstone's proven experience in advanced networking and telecommunications solutions will enable us to expand our service offering and provide added value to our clients.”
Julian, Founder of Penstone commented: “There has not been a better time for Penstone to merge company as we can see how voice and data services have merged into convergence over the years and this partnership will now give us and our customers the confidence to support them.
“Redsquid is a forward-thinking partner who have a good understanding and support of IT technology which is something we have fallen short in over the years coming from a voice background.”
Dave Sherrington, MD London and South at ThinCats said: “The acquisitions strategically enhance the servicing offering and client base as the business broadens its reach throughout the UK.”
