Redsquid boosts service delivery with IT Hotdesk buy

Redsquid has acquired IT Hotdesk, underlining the MSP’s strategic objective to expand its footprint and enhance service offerings in the Aberdeen area.

It is the first acquisition in Scotland for Redsquid, and sees both operations creating a stronger, more comprehensive service portfolio.

This will allow for what Sohin Raithatha, CEO of Redsquid describes as a “seamless transition and continued excellence in service delivery,” bringing customers closer to these benefits.

Raithatha said: “We have long had a presence in the North and look forward to being closer to our customers so we can continue providing value as their local MSP.”

Gordon Christie, Founder of IT Hotdesk, added: “This partnership will allow us to leverage Redsquid's extensive resources and expertise.

“Our combined strengths will drive innovation and growth, ensuring that we continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”

Christie said: “By integrating IT Hotdesk into Redsquid, we are expanding our footprint as a local MSP and enhancing our ability to provide personalised support to SMEs in Aberdeen and beyond.”

The move will also help its customers transition to greener technology, helping businesses in Aberdeen thrive sustainably and reducing their environmental impact.

IT Hotdesk will integrate into Redsquid’s sustainability initiatives to bring substantial benefits to both customers and team members.

Raithatha added: “Bringing sustainable IT solutions to our customers is an integrated part of our mission and commitment to sustainability and community engagement.”

As a part of the acquisition, Redsquid has been through a refinancing round and partnered with a new lender in London-based ThinCats, resulting in a renewed facility which will allow Redsquid to boost its acquisition strategy into 2025 and beyond.

The acquisition of IT Hotdesk was facilitated with strategic advice from Altenburg Advisory.
