Solar Communications snaps up Cardiff-based TWL

Solar has extended its regional reach with the acquisition of Cardiff-based TWL, adding to its existing offices in Chippenham, Harlow and Manchester. TWL founder and MD Andrew Nicholson will remain with the business. Solar CEO John Whitty said: "This latest addition to the Solar Group follows the purchase and integration of our two acquisitions in 2016.

Buyer sought for HMRC's cloud service provider

Salford-based cloud service provider DataCentred has gone into administration despite some notable client wins, according to the administrators, who are trying to sell the business as a going concern.

Last year, DataCentred won a contract to provide UK tax body HMRC with an OpenStack-based public cloud to support its multi-channel digital tax platform (MDTP).

McHale steps in as VP of Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions

Mark McHale has been promoted as the new VP of Arrow's Enterprise Computing Solutions business in the UK and Ireland.

McHale was previously MD for Arrow's Data Centre Solutions division.

McHale succeeds Jesper Trolle who has been promoted to president Americas of Arrow's Enterprise Computing Solutions business.
