Konftel UK Sales Director Jeff May has swung a spotlight on the emerging hybrid nature of video solutions which he says will become prevalent over the coming months.
"After the initial explosion of home working practices we expect to see over the next six to 12 months major growth in hybrid video solutions, suitable for board rooms and huddle rooms and also dedicated home working environments where users demand the highest quality audio and video experience," he stated.
"Covid-19 has shown is that some people want to work permanently from home, others prefer the office while many want a mixture of both.
“Hardware and software that ticks all the boxes across all three categories will accelerate much further forward, based on technology that’s easy to install and easy to use, wherever people are working.”
May also noted that while the majority of office refitting is now back on hold, people will eventually return, combined with more flexible working from home.
"In many ways we are approaching a Covid-19 crossroads," he added. "Will there be a second wave in winter and are we better prepared as a country to cope?
"One thing is for sure, video and audio conferencing will continue to grow as it provides a flexible way to connect people when they cannot interact face-to-face.”
