Stone 360, an app launched in 2020 by Stafford-based circular IT provider Stone, has prevented over 1.5 million units of used IT from going to landfills.
Since its launch, the app has been downloaded more than 42,000 times and has enabled more than 2,450 organisations to dispose of their unwanted, or outdated, hardware.
Collected devices are typically refurbished for future use or dismantled so their materials can be recycled responsibly.
Craig Campion, Director of IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) Sales at Stone said: “We want to encourage more organisations to see the value of sustainability and demonstrate how so much of the tech we discard today can be put to great use.”
