The launch of Horizon with Webex is at the centre of Gamma’s growing relationship with Cisco, which will see the two collaborating more closely to future-proof support for EU and UK resellers.
The latest solution borne from the partnership, Horizon with Webex, brings together Gamma’s expertise in connectivity and voice services with Cisco’s technology, offering opportunities for Gamma’s wholesale partners.
Users will benefit from a single point of contact for all their communication needs with Gamma handling all support, provisioning and training.
Wade added: “We are merging Horizon's reliable connectivity with Webex Cisco's advanced collaboration features.
“By bringing the Webex client on top of telephony that just works we can bring to life solutions for businesses of all sizes.”
According to Chris Wade, Chief Marketing and Product Officer at Gamma, this is the natural evolution of an already strong relationship with heritage across both hardware and software solutions.
“Building on experience working with BroadSoft and Meraki, a tighter collaboration will deliver augmented value to new and existing customers.”
The foundations of this relationship include Gamma’s July acquisition of BrightCloud, a European Enterprise partner of Cisco renowned for its CCaaS expertise and the recent awarding of Premier Provider Partner status and Cisco Powered designation for Meraki Access, Meraki Security and Meraki SD-WAN.
“The relationship has been more piecemeal to date, but we are working hard to create an offering that aligns all places that a business does business,” added Wade. “We are going to work hard to enhance our partnership on a technical, educational and operational level.”
As part of the education piece, Gamma is presenting the benefits of Cisco solutions to smaller organisations.
Wade said: “We see larger companies already asking for the Cisco partnership as they have a reputation in the enterprise space.
“These benefits can also be realised by SMEs and there are certain industries where the noise cancellation and transcribing features are critical to businesses of all sizes.”
According to Wade, the next phase of the partnership is to buy pieces that increase the richness of collaboration and experience.
Gamma’s recent results revealed that it has agreed with Cisco that it will acquire Placetel, a German organisation in the Cloud PBX space, enabling German companies to buy Cisco Collaboration solutions both digitally and through local partners.
This deal remains subject to certain closing conditions being met and we expect it to close shortly. This will elevate Gamma to a pro forma number of around 300,000 seats.
