n2s has appointed Ben Hirst as Commercial Director and Sarah Goddard as Finance Manager, bringing expertise in warehousing, recycling, engineering, and finance to their new roles to help boost revenue and commercial efficiency.
With a background in IT asset disposal and equipment lifecycle management, Hirst is now responsible for all n2s revenue streams including data centre decommissioning, copper cabling granulation, technical services, and IT asset reuse and remarketing.
After joining n2s in 2009 as a warehouse operative, Hirst had management responsibility for the company’s warehousing, recycling, engineering, purchasing and sales operations. Prior to his new appointment, he was Group Commercial Manager.
Sarah Goddard’s career in finance began working in the family business and at a Cambridge-based computer firm, before becoming a flight attendant living in Abu Dhabi.
On her return, Goddard joined Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2011 where she was a Management Accountant/Senior Financial Analyst before working in financial management roles at several organisations over the next decade.
Rob Bolton, CEO, at n2s, commented: “Hirst knows n2s and the business of IT asset disposal and lifecycle management well which gives me confidence in his new role as Commercial Director.
“Equally, Goddard’s varied experience as a Finance Manager in a cross section of industry sectors brings new vision and best practices to n2s, ensuring the smooth running and efficiency of our financial operations as we continue to grow.”
