Advantex has agreed a contract with SES Engineering Services to provide security and surveillance at the UK’s largest wind turbine manufacturing facility, securing business-critical functions in a unified infrastructure.
Working in partnership with SES Engineering, Advantex designed an IP-camera security solution as part of a six-figure contract, that is due to be delivered next year.
This integrated system will be implemented at SeAH Wind’s £900 million monopile manufacturing facility at Teesworks, an 800-metre-long, 40-metre-high landmark and the only one of its kind in the UK.
Advantex’s systems include digital CCTV and access control technology to deliver improved site-wide security and streamlined operations.
From a central control room, the system will monitor the flow of personnel across key areas, providing perimeter protection using a 75-strong camera system, which includes a package of Milestone Video Management Software and Paxton Access Control, that integrates across the site to deliver a single security infrastructure.
This landmark project marks Advantex’s second major renewable energy sector contract as the company continues to expand its presence in this field, amid rising demand from the renewables sector and as manufacturers invest in advanced digital security and surveillance systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Tony Easingwood, Senior Account Manager at Advantex, said: “As demand for integrated solutions grows, we’re delivering cost-effective, reliable systems that help our clients drive the wind energy revolution forward.”
