Advantex doubles turnover to £12m

Advantex has doubled sales revenues to £12m in the last year spurred by contract wins across the north east’s manufacturing, hospitality and education sectors.

The company claims to have a healthy forward order book for the next two years and has increased current workforce numbers to 70 to support technical operations, customer service and sales.

It will continues to invest in its workforce creating upwards of 15 new frontline technical and engineering and office roles in the coming months, leading to a 30% increase in numbers by the end of next year.

This will include additional data cabling engineers and technicians to support frontline operations, while further sales, help line, project management, operational and admin staff will join to support current and new customers.

Dave O’Connell, Operations and Finance Director and Co-founder of Advantex, said: “We understand the importance of continual business development, recognising that within our current infrastructure, there is more potential for success in both current and new markets.”

“We are seeing strong performances across all our operations with sustainable growth in current markets and exciting expansion into new ones, notably renewables and sustainability.”
