SSE Enterprise Telecoms has returned to its pre-2003 identity as Neos Networks claiming it will provide a more recognisable long-term identity and continue its wider business transformation journey.
Neos comes from the Greek word for new and was the company’s name before being acquired by the SSE Group back in 2003.
According to CEO Colin Sempill, the rebrand represents the company’s ambition to continue delivering connectivity and network services amidst growing demand for better speeds.
“As capacity requirements continually increase there is a growing need for a new network solution that delivers high bandwidth and high resilience services. Our new name embodies our mission to build a new network for UK businesses,” he said.
The company’s wider transformation began in 2019 when Infracaptial acquired 50% of the business.
