AI and Machine Learning will have a significant impact on the managed services industry next year, according to Zen CTO Justin Fielder, who says the ability to spot problems before they occur is a 'great strength'.
"Unlike the cyber security industry where attacks evolve and change and you are hoping to spot humans trying to get around your defences, network outages are usually due to technical issues occurring in similar ways meaning AI technology can easily learn how these events start and what can be done to prevent them," he stated.
"2019 will be the start of an ability to prevent or fix a problem before a customer is even aware, giving the real ability to differentiate and deliver a premium support service.”
