Zen reported that 98% of its monthly sales are for SoGEA or FTTP products, at its annual partner event, where MD Stephen Warburton reminded partners of the need to migrate customers sooner rather than later.
Currently there are 9.5 million premises left to migrate, with an industry wide pace of about 80,000 a week.
He said: “We’re on the right trajectory, but it’s not quite quick enough and we all have a role to play to ensure the milestones are reached.”
He shared that Zen is seeing 98 per cent adoption for FTTP amongst customers that can adopt the technology, representing 60% of its monthly orders. Likewise, 70% of Zen customers take connectivity products of 300MB or above
To address the need for speed, Zen is developing FTTP speed profiles of 1.2 and 1.8 GB speeds in the pipeline for next year, following closely Openreach’s trial on these profiles.
Other key focuses for the telecoms service provider is a drive for ethernet. CEO Richard Tang said: “We are planning an end-to-end refresh of our whole ethernet journey to improve market opportunity for our partners.”
