Cisco has appointed Chintan Patel as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for EMEA, to help the company advance relationships with key strategic customers and partners, while also working with industry leaders and academia to identify emerging technologies and trends.
Previously CTO for Cisco in the UK & Ireland, Patel will now oversee Cisco’s technology strategy and alignment across the EMEA region.
In addition, he will lead the Solutions Engineering (SE) community across EMEA, working with global product development teams to design tailored regional solutions, helping future proof companies’ workplaces, build AI-ready data centres and increase digital resilience.
Patel has been with Cisco for nearly 20 years in various engineering roles, building expertise in customer segments alongside corporate and strategy development.
He is also an active member of various technology industry UK bodies, representing Cisco and the industry in forums dedicated to growing digital and engineering skills.
