Mitel has closed on its acquisition of Unify, the UC&C business of the Atos Group, expanding its go-to-market presence to include over 5,500 partners and combining customer bases of over 75 million.
With the acquisition, Mitel adds Unify’s voice platforms, collaboration and contact center products, and devices and endpoints to its portfolio. Additionally, it deepens its presence in healthcare, public sector, hospitality and financial services.
Unify brings pedigree in the enterprise segment to Mitel, with a managed services business and experience helping large enterprise customers with digital transformation.
Tarun Loomba, President and CEO of Mitel, will serve the same role for the combined company. Marcus Hänsel, CEO of Unify, has been appointed Chief Sales Officer.
Loomba said: “This is a transformative milestone for the Mitel and Unify teams and for the broader communication and collaboration industry."
Mitel’s additional executive team members will continue in their respective roles with Unify executives adding their expertise. Together, the company now has more than 5,000 employees worldwide.
The company is expected to share its vision for integrated portfolio and partner programs in early 2024.
