Vodafone on track for strong FY25 with continued growth

Vodafone has reported a strong quarter in its latest financial results for Q3 FY25 update, including receiving regulatory approval for the company’s merger with Three in the UK due to complete in a few months.

The business saw total revenue increase in the UK by 7.2% to €1.9bn due to service revenue growth, and the appreciation of the pound sterling versus the euro.

Service revenue increased by 7.6% (Q2: 2.9%), with organic service revenue growth accelerated to 3.3% in Q3 (Q2: 1.2%). Organic growth was driven by Consumer and wholesale revenue, and partially offset by a decline in Business.

Fixed service revenue grew by 12.3% (Q2: 9.6%), and organic growth in fixed service revenue was 7.6% (Q2: 8.0%) due to continued growth in the customer base.

In the fixed segment, the company saw its broadband net additions grow by 72,000 in Q3, partly thanks to the launch of ‘One Touch Switching’ campaign in September 2024.

This increase saw fibre coverage reach a total of 18.4m UK households, connecting to speeds of 2.2Gbps.

Margherita Della Valle, Group Chief Executive at Vodafone (pictured) said: “We are on track to grow in line with our full guidance this year, and are looking forward to a stronger Vodafone in the years ahead.”
