Telent appoints new CFO

Telent has named Gillian Bonthron as its new CFO as the incumbent John Kimpton sadly steps down for health reasons.

Bonthron brings more than 25 years of experience in finance, including at Mitie, KPMG, Smiths News and Healx.

She said: “Joining Telent at this stage in its development is a really exciting challenge.”

She will take the post from 30th September, working alongside Kimpton until December to ensure a smooth handover.

Kimpton worked for Telent and its predecessor business for over 30 years. He joined GEC in 1991, initially in its Defence operations before becoming Financial Director for the Marconi Value Added Service business in 2001, which formed the core of Telent in 2006.

Jo Gretton, CEO of Telent: “I can’t thank him enough for his contribution to the business over the years as well as his support and friendship to me personally. We wish him all the best for the future.”
