TruPeer EMEA expansion continues at pace

TruPeer is continuing to gain momentum in EMEA since expanding its peer mentorship programme to the region in November 2023, having onboarded over 100 companies that are boasting a 30% faster growth rate than their non-peer group competitors, according to TruMethods Owner Gary Pica.

Talking at Kaseya’s TruPeer event (7th May etc.venues 8 Fenchurch Place), Pica told Comms Dealer that every MSP should be in an industry peer group, especially as the pace of industry change continues to accelerate.

“We are in a complex industry that moves fast and is only going to go faster,” he said. “You are not going to be able to figure it all out from within your office. By joining a group with a clear and proven methodology you can spend less times figuring things out and more time implementing them.”

Pica highlighted collaboration and accountability as key levers for driving business growth. “We build into the fabric of our peer groups an openness around discussing what you need to do, how you can do and what is holding you back.

“I compare it to having a bolt on Executive Board. Suddenly a group of your peers and competitors is watching over you and holding you accountable as a business owner.”

He also elevated personal development as an underutilised method for business growth. “Personal improvement is the main prerequisite for real change in an organisation,” he said. “It is about taking time from working in the business, to working on the business.

“By becoming more introspective about what they need to do, leaders become more focused, and they start helping their teams in the same way.”

He extolled the benefits of breaking through deeply set beliefs that may be damaging their businesses, noting that every company to have joined the TruPeer cohort has increase prices on products. “Before joining us, their experiences have reinforced a belief that these changes aren’t something they can do. We can widen their view and take away this belief.”

Pica’s priority now is ensuring these principals remain as the cohort swells across EMEA. He said: “We want members to feel they are part of something big and growing, but need to retain the intimacy that brings accountability.”

To do this, the programme ensures each group has a Programme Manager and leverages elder statesmen to pass on learnings.

To ensure the group pulls in the same direction, Pica noted that TruPeer is selective in who it brings onboard. “We turn away a significant number of MSPs,” he said. “It is about getting the right MSPs who want to grow, will put in the work, and won’t dilute the experience for others.”

TruPeer will look to bring its Engage platform to EMEA in time, which is suited for smaller MSPs not in the right space to benefit from the main curriculum.
