Wavenet make strides for charity

Four members of the Wavenet team will be taking part in  The 10K Mind Walk on July 3rd to spread awareness and fundraise and for the charity, which provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.

Wavenet chose Mind as its inaugural charity of the year, aiming to raise £7,500 for the charity via monthly activities.

So far, Wavenet has run a Euros sweepstake involving 111 colleagues and raising £277 and in August is set to begin a Fantasy Football League with 50% of winnings going to Mind.

The charity of the year scheme was launched by Wavenet’s newly formed ‘Great Place to Work Group’ which engages with colleagues across the wider Wavenet group and brings about positive change in the business.

David Gisborne, Head of HR, said: “Our fundraising is driven by our colleagues and supported by Wavenet’s Senior Leadership Team. Activities aim to bring colleagues together, encouraging them to collaborate with wider team members, new Wavenet employees and colleagues from offices across the UK.”
