Industry should play active role in CSR, says Wavenet

Wavenet is raising the bar for corporate responsibility in 2025 and hopes to inspire the industry to follow its lead as a force for good, encouraging businesses to play an active role in addressing social challenges.

It has already begun to do this with fundraising goals, strategic partnerships, and hands-on volunteer efforts to create lasting change across the UK.

The independent MSP is helping tackle hunger, empower youth, and build stronger communities, and has formed partnerships with several leading charitable organisations.

These include The Trussell Trust, Wavenet's Charity of the Year, which received a £7,500 fundraising donation in 2024, with the company is aiming to meet a higher £10,000 fundraising goal in 2025.

Chapter One also benefits from Wavenet’s volunteers, who dedicate 15 hours weekly during term time to reading with children, helping to build their literacy skills and confidence. As part of the partnership, Wavenet also supports Chapter One with an annual contribution of £6,000.

Other partnerships include working with The Outward Bound Trust that receives an annual contribution of £15,000 to help young people unlock their potential through outdoor learning experiences, and The Big Goal Initiative by the Street Soccer Foundation aims to transform lives through football and mentoring programs. Wavenet supports this with an annual contribution of £10,000.

Alexandra Stephenson, Head of Communications at Wavenet said: “In 2025, we are not just striving to meet ambitious goals for the communities we serve, but we also hope to inspire others in the industry to recognise the value of giving back and creating a culture of care.”
