Exertis IT makes key addition to group service strategy with Group 8

Exertis IT has acquired an Apple Service Provider (ASP) Group 8, and leased a larger facility, both of which will allow for the expansion of its circular economy offering.

The company currently offers circular economy services via MTR Group, its subsidiary which specialises in the refurbishment and resale of mobile devices and offers Samsung-accredited refurbished handsets.

Rod McCarthy, Group MD of Exertis IT said: “The acquisition of Group 8 is a key addition to Exertis IT’s group service strategy.

“With circular economy regulations on the horizon, Group 8 joining our business is an integral part of our strategy to progress our business and those of our customers’, into the second life market.”

Group 8 and MTR help extend the lifespan of devices by providing professional repair services, reducing electronic waste, increasing sustainability, and encouraging resource efficiency.

Tim Griffin, CEO of Exertis IT (pictured) added: “Group 8’s principals and business approach not only add value to the capabilities we offer our customers, it also aligns with the execution of our ‘second life’ strategy and our wider sustainability efforts.”
