Advanced CTO Jon Wrennall joins CBI Innovation Council

Advanced's CTO Jon Wrennall has been selected to join the CBI's Innovation Council.

As part of a three-year minimum term on the Innovation Council he will join other senior business figures to help steer the CBI's policy work on key policy campaigns, consultations and reports.

Jon joined Advanced over two years ago and is responsible for driving innovation and quality in the development of its suite of software solutions and services.

Wrennall has over 20 years experience in the industry and was previously CTO at Fujitsu UK and Ireland. Prior to Fujitsu he served as Chief Information Officer, Transformation Director and SIRO at the Valuation Office Agency (VOA), and was Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs' first Chief Technology Officer, leading the integration of the former Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise organisations.

Wrennall commented: "Technology innovation is at the heart of the future prosperity of Britain as organisations change and adapt to succeed in this disruptive digital era.

"Sitting on the Innovation Council means we can provide a voice on the role of technology in creating an internationally competitive economy for the UK.

"It will also allow us to lead the conversation when it comes to the ethical and moral impact of tech innovations, such as Artificial Intelligence."
