Wifinity, as part of its Good Connections community digital inclusion programme, has boosted connectivity at Llanelli Town AFC’s Stebonheath Park with free public WiFi service for life.
All active equipment and installation have been provided free of charge by Wifinity.
The new network covers all public areas of the publicly owned non-league club.
The WiFi service is set to make a positive difference to the community beyond the pitch, creating opportunities for special interest groups to meet including the club’s successful women’s and pan-disability teams.
The club also aims to give back to local charities, causes and businesses.
Wayne Stephens, Llanelli Town AFC chairman, explained: “Locals can use digital public services, online banking, complete online learning, work remotely and more."
Good Connections, Wifinity’s social values programme, supports digital inclusion in local communities. Its entire team has an opportunity to be involved in the project.
Wifinity’s partner Sky Business Wholesale provided the underlying circuit access at cost price.
