MLL Telecom has completed the successful delivery of a managed service for Microsoft Teams telephony under contracts for two local councils, helping to migrate employees from existing call management systems.
The Royal Borough of Greenwich's (RBG) migration took place under a three-year contract valued at £304,000 for around 6,500 users. It was won through a competitive tender via the CCS RM3808 framework.
Portsmouth County Council’s (PCC) contract is worth £367,0000 over five years with approximately 6,000 users and was procured via the Solent Framework.
Before making recommendations, MLL provided consultancy services to audit the existing technologies in place, then proposed its cloud-based Session Border Control as a service (SBCaaS) solution for Microsoft Teams.
MLL’s SBC manages the flow of communication sessions, including voice and video calls, and other real-time media sessions.
David Porter, Strategic Client Director at MLL said: “The existing call management platforms were at end of life for both clients and required significant investment to refresh.
“Both our clients were invested with Microsoft and using Teams for internal meetings so from a total cost of ownership and end user experience perspective MS Teams Telephony based on MLL’s SBC platform was the preferred choice.”
