UC solutions provider Masergy is aiming to tap into increased spending on video collaborations solutions following a tie-up with Cisco.
A study by global research firm Nemertes shows that due to Covid-19, 82% of IT leaders are increasing spending on video collaboration solutions and 74.8% on wide area network services.
Masergy’s response has been to consolidate its hosted UC calling platform solution with Cisco Webex, claiming it allows users to add Masergy’s Managed SD-WAN Secure connectivity services.
According to Dave Michels, Enterprise Communications Analyst at TalkingPointz, the solution fills a gap in the market.
“This offer combines multiple services, thus reducing the burden on the customer's IT to deliver and secure communications. It also simplifies installation and troubleshooting time. Masergy is filling a gap in the market with an integrated and wide-reaching solution encompassing collaboration technologies, global network services, and security services too, “ he said.
Masergy has offered UCaaS solutions based on Cisco’s technology since 2004.
