Gamma partners will now be able to offer carbon-neutral SIM cards to customers following an expanded partnership between the MVNO and Thales.
The Eco-SIM is developed from 100% recycled polystyrene recovered from refrigerators and is set to replace nearly 5,000 metric tonnes of newly manufactured plastic every year.
Emmanuel Unguran, VP Mobile & Connectivity Solutions at Thales, said: “This development on our existing partnership highlights the commitment from both companies to enhance the sustainability value proposition to consumers.”
Thales has provided SIM cards, applications and device management services to Gamma since 2016.
