North has won a £1m contract to transform the technology at the University of Central Lancashire, laying the foundation for the creation of a smarter campus.
The project will transition the university’s existing analogue CCTV control system to a hybrid cloud-based platform. Around 250 analogue cameras replaced and integrated with existing IP CCTV cameras.
The new system will amalgamate multiple current systems into a single user interface that will integrate monitoring, reporting, alarms, and management into one system.
The project is set to begin in September 2024 with the new system expected to be fully operational by February 2025.
