BT’s Group HR Director Alison Wilcox has shared the company’s plans to adopt a hybrid working approach and made a statement prompting business leaders not to neglect the office.
She said: “The arguments on the future of work are well-rehearsed but they are largely focused on the preoccupations of people in management or professional level roles who are juggling families, school runs, managing a household, etc.
“Less is said about those at the start of their careers or new joiners who need to build confidence, learn how their teams work and navigate a new organisation.”
BT is adopting a hybrid working model that allows teams to choose how and where colleagues work depending on their own needs.
The company is currently undergoing a three-to-five-year transformation that will see its 300 offices consolidated into 30 improved facilities.
