Exponential-e will modernise Havant Borough Council’s IT infrastructure as part of a new three-year MSP contract.
The Council has sought its own infrastructure following the end of its previous contract and awarded Exponential-e a contract to migrate its IT systems to a Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure and provide a fully integrated solution that encompasses the network and all end user services.
This is part of the Council’s longer-term digital vision of evolving its IT estate to create an environment that enables ongoing innovation and supports the effective delivery of public services.
Data sovereignty was a key consideration, with a requirement that data be hosted in the UK. All data will be migrated from the Council’s current estate to the new domain featuring a Dedicated Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Dedicated Firewall Service, Managed LAN and Wi-Fi Services, all owned by the Council.
Exponential-e will provide ongoing management and support of the estate, including the Council’s 680+ PC and end-user devices, which will soon be upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
Afshin Attari, Director of Public Sector and Unified Platforms at Exponential-e, said: “Our goal is to ensure the Council benefits from enhanced security and improved speed of service delivery to serve residents effectively.”
