The CEO of Babble, Matthew Parker, is stepping down after nearly 9 years at the helm of the cloud solutions provider that makes £100m annually in revenue and serves 15,000 customers.
Prior to starting Babble, Parker joined a small London-based telecom’s reseller in February 2016, with only 16 people, making an annual revenue of £6m serving 200 customers.
From these humble beginnings, Babble was formed, and Parker’s leadership helped the company grow into a business that successfully brought together 35 telecoms and technology businesses – including 34 acquisitions and two management buy-outs – to create a solutions provider with 500 people based across the UK and south Africa.
Parker commented: “Last year has been about consolidation. Babble is now in a strong position to help businesses exploit the opportunities and challenges they face in today’s fast-changing technology landscape.
“It’s time for a change – for me and the business – I leave it in Mark Braund’s capable hands to manage the transition. Alex Clark, Andy Lindsell and the strong leadership team we have built are ready for Babble’s next phase.
“I am proud of what we built together - a great business, a great culture, and a reputation for being a force for good, and I am now preparing for my next challenge.”
