Tech distributor Instant Access Europe has spun off a channel-only subsidiary, Nxt2Nu, to make second life mobiles a first-choice option for businesses.
Nxt2Nu offers fully refurbished Apple and Samsung handsets through B2C and B2B resellers and plans to repair the damaged reputation of such items.
Founder and Director Sunny Ratnam said: “Many businesses have been stung before by refurbished devices. The industry has been full of cowboys, and it has left a lasting stigma that devices will be dented, scratched, or have no battery life.
“Our mobiles are pristine only, so will look like new. We believe this will enable trust in refurbished devices and spread the awareness that they provide an experience that’s as good as buying new.”
Instant Access Europe are using Nxt2Nu’s launch as an opportunity to implement sustainability best-practices across the entire company, embarking on a four-step journey to become carbon neutral by 2025.
Step one saw the launch of Next2Nu and will be followed with a plant-based phone case being included in all devices, to prevent end users from purchasing unbiodegradable plastic cases. The third step will see all Nxt2Nu product packaging become 100% recyclable and plastic free including all internal protective material.
Finally, Ratnam aims to set up a trade in program to enable channel partners to take back their customer’s discarded products to be passed back up through the chain and, where possible, turned into the next wave of Nxt2Nu devices.
He said: “Whilst our clients, in some cases, may be considered competitors to each other in business, we are all one team when it comes to ensuring we live in a more sustainable world.”
Martijn van Den Hout, Commercial Director at Instant Access Europe, added: “The sustainability vision clearly resonates with the channel, and we encourage more resellers to join the journey.”
