LilaConnect, a subsidiary of Swedish infrastructure specialist VX Fiber, has begun constructing an open access full fibre network in Uttoxeter.
LilaConnect plans to connect all homes and businesses in the area by the end of 2022. It is also building in other area such as Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe, Nantwich, Bristol and Colchester, with Leek to follow in the new year.
MD Brett Shepard said: “Accelerated by the global pandemic, a fast and reliable broadband connection has shifted from being a luxury to an essential utility. I’d encourage everyone who can to switch to the new technology and take advantage of the many benefits that full fibre brings.”
