Leeds-based Soda IT Support has acquired WalkinWiFi, a specialist provider of marketing-driven WiFi hotspot solutions to the hospitality industry, after the company entered administration earlier this year.
The deal comes soon after Soda IT Support was itself acquired by Leeds Telco Northern Telecom. Soda IT will use the buy to bolster its foothold in the hospitality sector.
Soda IT Support MD, Jon Graves (pictured) said: “Like many businesses that support the hospitality industry WalkinWiFi has struggled through the pandemic and it’s unfortunate that the reopening of the hospitality sector came too late to save it from administration.”
WalkinWiFi entered administration on 30th July with the appointment of Joint Administrators from specialist business advisory firm FRP Advisory.
Graves added: “I firmly believe there’s a great product at the core of the business and we are pleased to have completed a deal that will deliver continuity of supply to WalkinWifi’s loyal customer base.”
