24 Seven Communications has signed an agreement with EE to provide M2M services on a wholesale basis, enabling the firm to offer 4G, 3G and 2G M2M capabilities via resellers.
The news follows a recent drive by 24 Seven to increase sales via resellers, and taps into a trend which sees more and more machinery being in a state of constant connection, whether that be cars, vending machines or printers.
24 Seven now has a strong capability in the M2M market, with agreements in place with two of the four Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) in the UK as well as its own ‘national roaming' SIM solution, which seeks out signal from a number of providers.
The resulting offer will give more choice and flexibility to 24 Seven's reseller partners and their customers.
David Samuel, founder and MD of 24 Seven, said: "This deal allows us to work alongside EE on M2M services which are fast becoming business critical. Increasing automation and shared information are vital for businesses of all sizes.
"Whether that be vehicle tracking or stock visibility, M2M services are on the rise and we're now perfectly placed to help businesses stay connected, more of the time. This has been a huge vote of confidence in our business from one of the UK's top telecoms providers."
In autumn 2015, 24 Seven appointed a new reseller channel manager, specifically to offer B2B services via the reseller channel.
This strategy will allow third parties to offer 24 Seven's expertise, services, infrastructure and billing platforms with a new audience and achieve significant growth.
