A new generation of UC&C software introduced by NEC Infrontia aligns IT departments with the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend by seamlessly connecting smartphones, tablets and desktops in a virtualised environment.
With UNIVERGE 3C users can collaborate with audio, video, screen sharing, document presentation, file sharing, remote control, co-browsing, voting/polling and more, says NEC.
The software suite has been designed to work within data centres and cloud environments and offers UC&C tools such as Instant Meetings, Instant Messaging, Web Collaboration, Presence and Application Sharing for virtually any device.
UNIVERGE 3C can be tailored to the needs of a business and works with existing web and security infrastructures. Its features are activated by enabling services as needed.
Jim Robertson, Business Manager, said: "With the work styles of the new generation being highly mobile and Internet savvy, UNIVERGE 3C offers a new opportunity in a changing market, empowering the workforce and allowing employees to connect, from any location, on virtually any device and initiate collaboration with colleagues, customers or partners."
Andrew Cooper, Sales Director NEC Infrontia, added: "3C's fully integrated collaboration capabilities provide many valuable business benefits and deliver tangible cost savings."
