Jola has launched a new range of routers that arrive pre-configured with the Jola App, allowing auto-configuration.
The premium models also feature Smart Roaming Technology which assesses the quality of alternative networks and changes to the next best option. They are compatible with Jola’s range of mobile data SIMs.
Adrian Sunderland, Jola’s CTO, commented: “Our new range of 4G routers are suitable for applications ranging from simple mobile broadband to large scale IoT projects.
They run an operating system allowing Apps to be installed alongside the core routing software.
"There are a range of off-the-shelf Apps that add additional capabilities such as support for sophisticated Dynamic Multipoint VPN and intelligent Roaming network selection.
"The App development SDK is open, so resellers can also develop their own Apps further differentiating their proposition.
"In IoT applications the device can act as a fully integrated IoT Edge Gateway, removing the need for a typical two box solution of PC + Router.”
