Transparity has acquired Ballard Chalmers to leverage its Microsoft Azure development expertise.
Beech Tree-backed Transparity is focused on growth, looking to scale up its Microsoft proficiency and double its headcount to 300 via strategic acquisitions.
David Jobbins, CEO Transparity, said: “We are looking at like-minded acquisitions such as this to strengthen the core areas of our Microsoft strategy.”
The buy will enhance Transparity’s app modernisation skills so it can migrate clients to optimised, cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Andrew Chalmers, MD Ballard Chalmers, said: “Having worked in partnership with the Transparity team for some time, we knew that Transparity would be the right partner to take Ballard Chalmers to the next level.
“Customers are regularly asking us to manage their transition to Azure end-to-end and joining Transparity means we can offer the whole stack from platform design, best practice governance, datacentre migration, application modernisation and then provide a full 24×7 managed service on the whole solution.”
