A £600k investment boost from the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund gives refurbished tech reseller Intelligent Servers the ability to improve purchasing power, facilitate stock growth, expand its warehouse and add staff.
MD Andrew Hughes said: “This funding will allow us to grow and deliver our service to more customers while creating 23 new positions at our company.”
Harrogate-based Intelligent Servers generates revenues in the region of £8m a year, providing refurbished products to over 3,000 clients including the BBC, Canon and Manchester United FC.
The company saw a 1,600 per cent increase in laptop orders during the pandemic due to the rise in people working from home. It undertook larger IT projects to increase bandwidth for video conferencing companies and supported schools to move teaching online.
Hughes added: “Due to the desire for cheaper and more affordable IT equipment, our refurbished equipment is now in demand.”
