HPE and Juniper tie up greenlit by CMA

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has investigated and cleared the anticipated $13bn acquisition of Juniper Networks by HPE following an inquiry launched on 19th June 2024.

The deal, covered by the Wall Street Journal and Reuters in January, would be HPE’s biggest deal since its acquisition of Autonomy in 2011 for $11 billion.

HPE has cited the AI packaged in Juniper’s networking solutions a key reason for its interest in the deal.

This article will be updated as the CMA publishes the full text of its decision.
