Ekco has made a significant expansion in the UK MSP space with the acquisition of Bluecube, doubling its domestic operations and taking the company’s revenue beyond €150M.
The deal gives Ecko access to Bluecube’s 200+ people, specialist skills and customer base, alongside its security operations centre in Milton Keynes that will enable IT security services to be delivered in the UK on behalf of Ekco’s local clients.
It also enhances Ecko’s critical recovery capabilities, bolstering its incident response offering.
Jonathan Crowe, co-founder and COO of Ekco, said: “This deal forms a key part of our overall growth strategy, which is driven by a vision of unlocking the full potential of insightful and responsive IT and cyber security solutions to our growing customer base.”
The move marks Ekco’s largest ever deal and its fourth in the past 12 months. The company is backed by Corten Capital and has grown to more than 860 people in four years, almost 600 of whom are engineers.
Bluecube CEO James Hawker added: “We see multiple benefits from the deal for both staff and customers alike.”
