Avonline Networks has bagged its biggest deal, a £25m five year contract with Virgin Media.
Avonline Networks is a provider of telecom network build and installation services and is part of M Group Services.
The company will build on its existing relationship with Virgin Media as a key delivery partner for a fibre network roll out in the UK.
Under the terms of the regional build contract, Avonline Networks will deliver expansion and maintenance works on Virgin Media’s gigabit-capable network across the North East and South West and Wales regions.
The five-year contract has an estimated value of £25m per annum and includes an option to extend by a further two years. The scope of works includes around the clock civils, cabling and enablement works including emergency restoration services.
Virgin Media’s reformed partnership model will be implemented from April 2020 with partners delivering a variety of civil engineering works to support the company’s fibre roll-out reach to homes and businesses including new builds and apartment blocks.
The new transparent model is designed to provide more integrated relationships with partners and deliver a host of benefits for both parties.
Rob Evans, MD Network Expansion at Virgin Media, said: “This new regional model gives our partners the certainty, scale and transparency they need and provides Virgin Media with the teams equipped to deliver high-quality build efficiently and effectively with the support of local authorities and communities.”
Avonline Networks MD Rich Hale added: “This contract is the single biggest contract win for Avonline Networks with a total value of £125m.
“Avonline Networks has partnered with Virgin Media for over 25 years, playing a key role in the delivery of next generation network build and installation programmes including Project Lightning.
