Despite reeling from the news that its management wish to sell it off, FLO TV is continuing to attract content to its mobile TV, the latest of which a range of programmes from the Discovery Communications to create it own channel.
The Discovery Mobile Channel on FLO TV will offer viewers full-length programming of popular series such as Discovery Channel's Cash Cab, Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs and Man vs. Wild and programming events like Shark Week. The channel also will spotlight compelling series fromDiscovery Communications portfolio of networks including Animal Planet's iver Monsters and Whale Wars, and Science Channel's How It's Made and Through The Wormhole with Morgan Freeman.
FLO TV will offer a 24/7 mobile viewing of the highly anticipated Shark Week from 1-7 August. Shark Week was the most popular entertainment special event channel on FLO TV in 2009. Discovery Mobile will be available on all wireless and mobile devices offering the FLO TV service, including the FLO TV Personal Television, FLO TV Auto Entertainment platforms and to mobile subscribers.
Discovery content also will be available on demand when FLO TV hopes to launch an on-demand feature later in 2010.
