Pulsant is investing a further £4.5m into its Manchester data centre, supporting the delivery of edge computing and high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity for local businesses.
The expansion of Pulsant’s Data Hall 4 will be complete by December 2023, and will make edge computing more accessible West through Pulsant’s platformEDGE compute platform.
The investment will deliver 300kW of additional IT capacity and expand the facility by 320m2.
Ben Cranham, COO at Pulsant, said: “This extends our commitment to support the growing technology demand for regional data centre access and colocation services across the north west.
“It supports Greater Manchester Council digital strategy and evolving regional ecosystem, enabling Manchester to become one of the leading digital economies in the next five years.”
