Aspire Technology Solutions enhances capacity to combat cyber threats

Aspire Technology Solutions is bolstering its national footprint with a new Glasgow office and hosting an event to tackle pressing cyber security challenges.

The IT solutions provider opened an office on St Vincent Street in Glasgow, following its acquisition of Cloud Cover IT earlier this year.

The new site enhances its capacity to support Scottish businesses with tailored IT, cyber security and modern workplace solutions, with bosses saying it will enable the company to better “equip organisations with the tools and knowledge they need” to combat cyber threats.

The move comes amid heightened cyber security concerns in Scotland, with recent attacks targeting NHS Dumfries and Galloway, as well as a cyber attack in September that targeted Wi-Fi systems across 20 major UK train stations, further highlighting the need for robust cyber security measures.

In response, Aspire will host a Cyber Summit in Glasgow on 26th November, featuring industry experts such as Jenny Radcliffe, a ‘People Hacker’, and experts from CrowdStrike and the Cyber and Fraud Centre Scotland, to provide actionable strategies for businesses to enhance their cyber resilience.

Shaun Richardson, Sales Manager at Aspire, said: “The new office will help us in continuing to support Scotland’s evolving business landscape.

“The Cyber Summit is also an essential part of our ongoing commitment to helping local organisations better protect themselves from digital threats,” Richardson concluded.
