Commsworld nets major connectivity contract

Commsworld has secured a new contract to provide enhanced connectivity to SEEMiS Group LLP, the education management information system provider to all 32 of Scotland’s local authorities.

The contract will provide Lanarkshire-based SEEMiS Group, which is used by every council-run primary and secondary school throughout the country for education administration, with access to Commsworld’s ultra-fast UK-wide Optical Core Network.

Charles Quinn, Chief Commercial Officer for Commsworld, said: “SEEMiS is a vital resource for schools and education administrators the length and breadth of the country. So it is vital it has the best connectivity that can be provided, connectivity that is 100% resilient.

“By operating our own core equipment over Dark Fibre this allows us to maintain full control and deliver scalable bandwidth while keeping latency across Scotland and the UK as low as physically possible."
