Former TalkTalk Product Director Jaki Chowdhury has joined Dotlines UK as CEO. He brings 18 years comms industry experience including stints at BT Wholesale and Vodafone.
Chowdhury is credited with playing a key role in the launch of BT’s own brand Wi-Fi router and Vodafone’s Mobile Private Network solutions.
While at TalkTalk Chowdhury oversaw the launch of its altnet wholesale broadband offering and led a transformation programme to shut down legacy exchanges that were modernised.
Dotlines UK is a newly established subsidiary of Dotlines NV aiming to replicate its success in Asia in the UK.
Chowdhury will spearhead Dotlines UK’s roll out of its three key offerings in the UK market – Carnival Internet, a broadband provider for consumers and enterprises; Audra, a cyber security service; and Purplecube360, a business support system (BSS) and customer relationship management (CRM) offering for telecommunication operators.
As well as establishing the company’s technologies in the UK Chowdhury will lead efforts to achieve B Corporation certification.
He enthused: “Dotlines’ success in Asia has provided the company with the technological and financial foundations to make a significant impact on the UK’s telecommunications, broadband and cybersecurity sectors.”
Group Chairman Mahbubul Matin added: “Jaki’s industry expertise and experience in the UK telecommunications and broadband sectors will maximise our impact on the UK market.”
