Daisy Group has appointed Neil Thompson to its board as Group CFO. He replaces Steve Smith, who has moved into a new role as Corporate Development Director, working with the Group Board on strategy and acquisition.
Thompson joins from Manchester Airport Group (MAG) where he served as Group CFO in an Executive Team that trebled earnings over a seven-year period. During his time at MAG Neil also oversaw the company’s £1.5bn acquisition of London Stansted.
Prior to MAG, Neil held senior finance roles at MAN Group and Alstom.
Thompson said: “This is a dynamic sector with significant growth opportunities and alongside Matthew Riley, ARES, Oakley Capital, and everyone within the Group we can take Daisy to the next level.”
Daisy Founder and Chairman Matthew Riley added: “Neil brings a wealth of experience across both listed and private funded businesses, driving strong growth and shareholder value.”
