Virgin Media O2 is providing a free broadband boost to The Venture Integrated Children’s Centre in Wrexham in recognition of its work to support the local community with digital skills and training.
This comes two years after provider first connected up The Venture, representing a renewed commitment to providing free ultrafast broadband services to the charity.
The Venture has so far used the free broadband to support education courses and youth work programmes, giving young people better access to learning materials and helping them develop crucial digital skills.
Virgin Media has invested around £13 million to connect homes and businesses in Wrexham and has so far addressed 21,500 premises as part of Project Lightning.
Donna Morley, NetEx Program Director at Virgin Media O2, said: “Whether it’s through extending our network to thousands more homes and businesses, connecting The Venture to free ultrafast broadband or helping provide technology to those who really need it, we’re using our next generation services for good at a time when they have never been more important.”
