TalkTalk Wholesale Services is pledging its support to The Big Goal, alongside Sky Business Wholesale and headline sponsor Giacom.
The Big Goal is an initiative designed to provide disadvantaged young people with skills that will help them define their future.
The event launched at St George’s Park in October giving teams from the UK ICT industry the chance to play each other in a national five-a-side tournament, with the finals taking place at St George’s Park next summer.
TalkTalk Wholesale Services will organise two internal football teams, sourced from both its Manchester and London offices, to play in the tournament.
The team will also work with The Street Soccer Foundation to provide mentorship and work experience opportunities for participants.
Tom O’Hagan, MD, TalkTalk Wholesale Services, said: “Having so many young people without a home, no matter the reason, is unacceptable. Providing mentorship and work experience opportunities will support the aim to help young people find safe housing and employment, building their confidence and skills to change their lives for the better.”
Keith Mabbutt, Founder & CEO, The Street Soccer Foundation, added: “TalkTalk Wholesale Services’ support of The Big Goal will enable us to make a positive difference in many young people’s lives, and we appreciate the involvement of the whole team across multiple events and other opportunities.”
